  1. About the Programme:
  2. The PGDM in Hospital and Health Management aims to develop and groom top class healthcare & hospital management professionals with in-depth knowledge and expertise in the field of healthcare and hospital sector.

    The programme prepares students for leadership roles in the hospital sector through training in planning, operational and project management of hospitals including orientation in the managerial aspects of clinical and support services. It focuses on equipping students with the knowledge and skills required for the management of healthcare organizations - be it Hospitals, Pharmaceuticals, IT, Insurance, Clinical research, Equipment manufacturing, Public healthcare establishment, Consultancies, NGOs, Wellness industry and others.

    Programme Structure –

    All courses are a combination of classroom sessions and mandatory 2/3 of the programme period as a field engagement/ placement component.

    The classroom sessions will facilitate learning through participation in the forms of lectures, discussions, case studies, presentations, assignments, etc., to help students to understand the conceptual and theoretical clarity of the subject area; The field engagement will provide a possibility to see the linkages between the classroom inputs by highlighting the practical dimensions of the course.     The programme will be delivered in a modular structure that aims to address specific objectives. Each module would have a three- fold construct, with the following weightages of credit hours:

    1. Academic Groundwork – 50%
    2. Industry perspective through casework, internships and guest speakers – 25%
    3. Field action work – 2%
